A Conversation with LaTisha

What makes East Texas A&M unique?

As a professional working toward certification, I deeply value instructors who bring real-world, practical experience to the classroom. While textbook learning has its place, the ability to engage with real scenarios and lean on a professor who has actually served in the field is invaluable. Their insight not only enriches the learning experience but also provides mentorship that helps me navigate challenges in my current role with greater confidence and clarity.

What has been your favorite course?

School Finance has been, without a doubt, my favorite course. I truly believe it will be a transformative experience in my professional journey, equipping me with the knowledge and confidence to reach my long-term career goals. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity.

Tell us about an accomplishment you are proud of.

Being named Director of Budget just four months into this program has been an incredible milestone. It's a clear step forward on my path to becoming a Chief Financial Officer, and a testament to the powerful, real-world learning this program offers.
