Exploration with Integrity
Export control laws restrict the shipment, transmission or transfer of certain items, software, technology and services from the United States to foreign countries, as well as “deemed exports,” which are releases of controlled physical items or controlled information to foreign nationals located in the United States.
East Texas A&M University is committed to upholding the highest standard of ethical conduct and compliance with its legal obligations, including federal statutes and regulations implementing U.S. export control policies and applicable policies and regulations of The Texas A&M University System. All employees, visiting scholars, and students at the University are expected to comply with United States export control laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, those implemented by the Department of Commerce through the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the Department of State through its International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), as well as those imposed by the Department of Treasury through the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
International Travel
Employees and students traveling on East Texas A&M business or traveling with East Texas A&M property are responsible for complying with export control laws and regulations when traveling outside the U.S.
